A New Chapter in Honor and Support: FPSA to Be Announced at the 17th Annual Border Patrol Foundation Recognition Dinner

On Friday, October 24, 2025, the 17th Annual Border Patrol Foundation Recognition Dinner at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC will mark a historic moment for the Federal Protective Service (FPS) community. Amid the evening’s tributes to fallen heroes and celebrations of service, the creation of the Federal Protective Service Association (FPSA) will be formally announced—ushering in a new era of support, remembrance, and advocacy for those who serve and protect federal facilities across the nation. The FPSA is the result of months of collaboration, vision, and dedication by a group of committed individuals, including Gabe Russell and Aaron Godbey, and others who have worked tirelessly to build an organization that reflects the values and needs of the FPS community. Inspired by the success and structure of the Border Patrol Foundation, the FPSA aims to provide immediate survivor benefits, honor fallen law enforcement officers, and foster a strong community among FPS employees, contractors, and supporters. Learning from a Trusted Partner The Border Patrol Foundation has played a pivotal role in shaping the FPSA’s mission and operational model. Through interviews, shared resources, and mentorship, the Foundation helped FPSA founders understand how to build a sustainable and impactful organization. From fundraising strategies to board composition and memorial initiatives, the Border Patrol Foundation’s guidance has been instrumental in ensuring the FPSA is built on a solid foundation. A Soft Launch with Strong Support The announcement at the Border Patrol Foundation dinner will serve as a soft launch for the FPSA, with full operations expected to ramp up in early 2026. FPS leadership, including Director Paramore will be in attendance. The Director has expressed enthusiastic support for the association and committed to attending future FPSA events. The FPSA’s founding board includes a diverse mix of FPS employees, industry representatives, and public figures, with plans to expand membership in 2026. Looking Ahead As the FPSA prepares to take its place among other distinguished law enforcement foundations, its founders remain focused on building a legacy of compassion, unity, and resilience. The Border Patrol Foundation Recognition Dinner will not only honor the fallen but also celebrate the birth of an organization dedicated to ensuring that no FPS family stands alone in times of need.
